Click the box labeled “FARM2LA Need Research Report” to access a comprehensive analysis of the FARM2LA project—Transforming Agriculture Education for Sustainable Development in Latin America. Funded by the Erasmus+ program, this initiative unites partner countries across Europe and Latin America to modernize agricultural Vocational Education and Training (VET) systems. The report presents findings from both desk and field research conducted across multiple partner countries, including Greece, Mexico, Germany, Colombia, Chile, Bulgaria & Argentina.

It offers a comparative analysis of agricultural education frameworks, sustainability practices, and the integration of green and digital skills.

  • Desk research involved a comprehensive review of policies, educational frameworks, and sustainable agricultural practices across participating countries. It examines how agricultural training aligns with global sustainability goals, such as the European Green Deal, and highlights innovative approaches to VET in agriculture.

  • Field research included stakeholder interviews, focus groups, and on-the-ground assessments, providing direct insights from farmers, educators, policymakers, and industry experts. This qualitative research helped identify the challenges, gaps, and opportunities in modernizing agricultural education while addressing regional sustainability concerns.

By combining policy analysis with real-world insights, the report serves as a strategic foundation for advancing agricultural education, fostering innovation, and promoting sustainable development across Latin America and beyond.
